The Center is a source for information
on agency services, health services, education and assistance
programs. |
| Nutrition
Lunch is served from 11:30 tto 12:15
Monday through Friday at the Center. Hot meals are delivered
to homebound Seniors in the Rogersville area on weekdays. A
supply of frozen meals is provided to homebound Seniors in
Webster, Greene and Christian counties. A donation of $3.00 is
suggested from those over 6o. Guests , under age 60, may eat
lunch for a charge of $5.00. Food stamps are accepted. (The
meal program is partially funded by the Southwest Missouri
Office on Aging.) The Rogersville Center also cooks for
the center in Seymour, and hot meals are provided to the
homebound in these cities. |
| Outreach
The Center's administrator is available
to make home visits for educating senior's needs for homebound
meals. Companion care may also be provided. |
| Health
Services
Blood pressure checks, preformed by the
Logan-Rogers Fire Department, and a Foot Clinic is provided
each month. Flu shots are scheduled yearly.
Education programs are presented on health, medications and
nutrition. |
| Tax
Preparation
Appointments are scheduled for free tax
consultation and preparation by IRS trained volunteers,
February to April. Emphasis is placed on identifying
those that qualify for the Missouri Property Tax Credit for
Seniors. This service is provided through the
cooperative efforts of Southwest Missouri Office on Aging and
the Internal Revenue Services. |
